Beavers Selected Player of The Week

Livonia, Mich. –  Lawrence Technological University men’s basketball player Brandon Beavers was named the men’s basketball Player of the Week by the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference on Monday afternoon. The point guard helped lead his team to a 2-0 week as the Blue Devils beat Concordia at home on Wednesday and Siena Heights on the road Saturday evening.

Sophomore / Columbus, OH

  • On Wednesday, November 10th in 37 minutes of action, Beavers scored a whopping 29 points to go along with eight rebounds, three steals and two assists. He shot the ball 9-of-16 from the field, 3-of-7 from three, and was 8-of-10 from the free-throw line to help his team beat Concordia University 74-70. 
  • On Saturday evening, the Blue Devils were on the road against Siena Heights where Beavers played 36 minutes, scoring 24 points with seven boards, three assists, and two steals. 18 of those 24 points came in the first half. Beavers shot the ball 9-of-17 from the floor, and he was a perfect 5-of-5 from the charity stripe as he hit a couple of clutch ones down the stretch to seal the 70-66 win over SHU.

The next Blue Devils (4-3) matchup is at home on Wednesday, November 17th against Cornerstone University. Tip-off begins at 7:30 PM.
